Membrane Keypads
A membrane keypad comprises an under-surface printed graphic overlay laminated on to a
pair of flexible printed circuits which form the switch assembly.
The overlay gives complete freedom of graphic design, allowing the use of multiple colours and matching to house styles. Key positions may be indicated by printed shapes, commonly including rectangles, circles and arrows. They can be further enhanced by embossing, with the additional option of tactile feel to provide a reassuring click when operated. Clear and transparent coloured windows facilitate the inclusion of indicator lamps and alpha-numeric displays,
